DISTRICT 11 TMC Traffic Performance Measuring System

These two dashboards measure freeway performance using cell phone data from a third party “HERE.com”, and our own Caltrans Ramp Metering system (RMIS).

The Dashboard populated with HERE data allows users to see freeway performance parameters such as, speed and travel time. Users can filter the data by year, county, route, lane type, location, month, days, date, time, and corridors. Users will also be presented with a visual representation of the data they select on a map of San Diego and Imperial County.

The dashboard populated with data from the Caltrans RMIS system only allows users to see freeway performance by volume, speed, travel time, delay, and vehicle miles traveled. Users are able to filter data by route, direction, type, postmile, month, day, time, and users can also compare up to three years at a time. Users will also be presented with a visual of the travel time by hour.
